The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Zimbabwe is a local humanitarian organization with a mission to work with people in poverty and distress to create just, positive and sustainable transformations through empowering partnerships and responsible action. ADRA Zimbabwe belongs to the worldwide ADRA network that is present in over 120 countries. ADRA’s core sectors include Food & Nutrition Security; Water, Sanitation & Hygiene; Comprehensive Health & Wellness; Social Enterprise & Economic Development; Education; and Emergency Response & Management. ADRA Zimbabwe has developed its expertise in these sectors and in various subsectors, specifically in Food & Nutrition Security, Comprehensive Health & Wellness, Education and Emergency Response. ADRA Zimbabwe employs a team of experienced staff that design, manage, and implements its programs in accordance with donor, ADRA policies, and requirements. ADRA’s technical team includes an HIV/AIDS specialist, nutrition specialists; public health specialist; agricultural economist, marketing & value chain supply expert, agronomists, a crop scientist, nurses, development practitioners, peace & governance officer, finance officers, an engineer, monitoring & evaluation experts and environmental health experts. The administrative and managerial team includes the country director, programmes director and finance director. ADRA Zimbabwe compliments the efforts of the Government of Zimbabwe through its programming that is in line with the Zimbabwe Agenda for Sustainable Socio-Economic Transformation (ZimASSET).
